These are not peace talks; merely the Taliban jockeying for position. The deal merely keeps the US and Taliban fro attacking each other, I’ve heard tens of thousands people have fled the city. It’d be especially bad if a provincial capital fell during the talks.
Taliban today announced they’d provide security against thieves in Kabul City. If Pres Trump doesn’t pull the plug entirely before leaving, in case he loses this election, then it’ll fall to Biden to solve.

The Taliban launched an all-out assault on Lashkar Gah, the capital of Helmand province, as U.S. officials continue to wrongly claim that those attacks are in violation of the U.S.-Taliban. The Taliban launched its offensive on Lashkar Gah last weekend and shut down the road linking the provincial capital with neighboring Kandahar City. Taliban fighters struck Police Districts 3 and 4, the Babaji area of the city and “three districts that are near the center of the province,” TOLONews reported. Two of the districts appear to be Nawa and Nad Ali.

Camps have become breeding-grounds for ISIS. Children and wives of these fighters live with family in the camps. All are deeply radicalized.
Taliban apologist revised the history to show that Taliban and al Qaeda are not close.
Insurgency means that you keep the goal/dream alive, and continue recruiting; this works over decades. The despair that Afghan people are feeling as the US withdraws forces and Taliban overrun the nation.

Take a look around the globe today and you’ll see jihadists fighting everywhere from West Africa to Southeast Asia. They aren’t the dominant force in all of those areas, or even most of them. But jihadism has mushroomed into a worldwide movement, with al-Qaeda, the Taliban, ISIS and other groups waging guerrilla warfare and launching terrorist attacks on a regular basis.

Carrie Lam, HK executive, is merely a puppet for Beijing More and more people want to escape and leave HK. This is a long-term insurgency. I want the US to take 100,000 HK refugees right now. University of Canterbury is heavily connected to Harbin University PLA. Massive implications for the region, for the Five Eyes. Section 230, immunity form liability for those who do not formulate content. If you in a politicized way regulate or limit content, then you develop content and become a publisher and so claim immunity. In fact, Twitter and Facebook censored content—excluded Hunter Biden info—which they're certainly entitled to do and thereby have become publishers. No one says that Twitter did anything wrong civilly or9 committed a crime; but there’s a legal difference between a penalty and a privilege. They’ve forfeited the status of not being a publisher, and can be sued.

His brother, John Paul Mac Issac, ran the computer repair store in Delaware. Hunter failed repeatedly to respond to requests that he pick up his computer. Months later, ____ took it to the FBI in August 2020; accepted some of it and threw him out, then did nothing with it. In September, FBI showed up with a subpoena and took possession of it. John Paul Mac Issac cooperated in all ways. . . . Uncle in March made contact with various Congressional offices, lower-level staff, who [largely ignored it]. Someone claiming to be Hunter Biden’s attorney and asked to “have the computer back,’ which confirms that it is, indeed, Hunter’s.
