JOHN BATCHELOR SHOW
Co-host: Thaddeus McCotter, American Greatness

Hour One
Monday 6 April 2020 / Hour 1, Block A: Dr Henry Miller, Pacific Research Institute, in re: Vaccines: development, evaluations, standards, in the time of the virus.
Monday 6 April 2020 / Hour 1, Block B: Jed Babbin, American Spectator, former Deputy Undersecretary of Defense, in re: Crozier and the Theodore Roosevelt. Chain of command means that those under you must follow your orders, and you must keep those above you informed of everything relevant. He sent his letter to many people including media and excluding his superiors.  Makes no sense. Imagine if the kedo butai had sent such a letter openly.  In sending that email on an unclassified system, guaranteeing that it’d be leaked, put American safety directly a risk. Now we have only seven carriers at sea, inviting bad behavior from our adversaries.
Monday 6 April 2020 / Hour 1, Block C: Professor Joel Hays, UCLA, with John Fund, in re: The Swedish model and the virus: a courageous move to buck the alarmist world pressure; looked to see if social isolation works, and found no good evidence supporting that.  In fact, an inverse relation between how fast it spreads and how lethal it is. I think by the time the US implemented it, the virus had spread across the country.  In 1957, I was ill with my brothers of an influenza; and again in 1968; the nation, especially, the Boomers, created herd immunity. “If the virus spreads that fast, it can't be that lethal.” And the Swedish economy isn’t cratering, will suffer maybe a 4% reduction. Here, we’ve already [thrown] $2 trillion dollars at it. For every person being protected, of those who are, there are hundreds suffering with massive financial loss and huge depression; perhaps 120,000 suicides.
Monday 6 April 2020 / Hour 1, Block D: Dr Scott Atlas, Hoover, in re:  Optimism and the virus.

Hour Two
Monday 6 April 2020 / Hour 2, Block A:  David M Drucker, Washington Examiner, & John Fund, NRO, in re: A virtual convention?   Campaigning in the time of the virus.
Monday 6 April 2020 / Hour 2, Block B:  John Fund, NRO, & David M Drucker, Washington Examiner, in re:  Committee for the Re-opening.  Austrian model (among wit many other European nations): smaller shops, requited masks; then larger shops; then perhaps gathering up to a dozen people; then children’s schools. Graduated stages, not all at once.
In the US, fear of an opening that’s too robust, too soon, and plunges the country in to an even worse economic predicament, if you can imagine that. Need to test for antibody situation of the majority of the population.  Joe Biden’s candidacy. Bernie Sanders “creates a little bit of an issue for Joe Biden.”
Monday 6 April 2020 / Hour 2, Block C:  Malcolm Hoenlein, Conference of Presidents, in re: The virus in the Middle East and Iran.  Iranian Green movement says that Khamenei is responsible for the circulation of the virus in Iran.  Seems to have been an important hack—into the WHO?   Approval of shooting down the plane. Nonessential personnel withdrawn from US Baghdad embassy.  UK’s Labour apologizes for the large “stain of anti-Semitism” that Corbyn had created.  Accusations that Israel is block aid to Gaza.  Madness—exactly the opposite is correct: 145 thousand tons of aid were sent from Israel into Gaza last week. The hate-mongering machine runs all the time; the UN even raised Israel’s deeds. Israel is imposing a nationwide  and intracity [close-down], esp for tomorrow night, the Passover seder.  IDF  has taken a  major role in providing services, delivering millions of tons of food. Yesterday, brought in millions of eggs from Spain.  Egypt: Passover is the commemoration of the exodus; school textbooks long were hatred-filled, and Sisi has now changed that, calling Israel a true partner in peace.
Monday 6 April 2020 / Hour 2, Block D:  Malcolm Hoenlein, Conference of Presidents, in re: The virus in the Middle East and Iran.  Book in 1272 in Germany, and 1390 in Milan in the Lombard Haggadah: depicted Biblical scenes. Psalm 136.  Second Century BCE in Egypt.

Monday 6 April 2020 / Hour 3, Block B:  Tom Joscelyn, Senior Fellow, Foundation for Defense of Democracies; & Senior Editor for FDD's Long War Journal; and Bill Roggio, Long War Journal and FDD; in re: Taliban complain of the US in connection with the virus.
