Wednesday 15 July 2020 / Hour 1, Block B: Richard Epstein, Chicago Law, NYU Law, Hoover Defining Ideas; in re: The resignation of Bari Weiss from the New York Times in a letter that lays out the abuse she’s undergone in the Times’s Cancel Culture.  Impossible to distinguish between the editorial and the news sections. A demand for loyalty oath; vilify anyone who disagrees on environment, race and gender, Trump, and the rest. Bankrupt.  You may be able to increase your readership 10-15% with this sort of virulence, but you might also lose 30% of other readers.
Wednesday 15 July 2020 / Hour 1, Block C:  Dr. Jonathan D. T. Ward, @jonathandtward, China’s Vision of Victory,  in re: The Executive Order invokes IEPA several times: “any authority granted to the president may be used by the president if he declares a national security threat.” This is the key to disentangling the [unfortunate] commingling the US created with an unreformed [tyranny].  Hong Kong is n o longer separate from Mainland. It's a tragedy, was one of the world’s most beautiful cities.  It’ll remain a financial center performing transactions for Mainland, such as Shenzen or Shanghai, but not be  global financial center.  Can his tragedy be reversed? Hard to do. It’s more important to offer a way out for those wishing to leave.  What Beijing did was so blatant that even Angela Merkel [spoke on it]. In may ways, this is a test of Britain’s engagement with the world.  They do have a global role; we’re starting to see it become more awakened and global.
Wednesday 15 July 2020 / Hour 1, Block D: Rick Fisher, Intl Assessment and Strategy Center; in re; PLA J20 fifth-gen fighter.  China’s first stealth fighter; similar to US 22A stealth fighter. Minnie Chan, SCMP, a Tokyo Rose of our time, says a second version has just entered production, the J20B. Can thrust up and down, super manoeuverabiity.  J20 engines are not widely space—the Sukhoi is—but close spacing lets it travel well into the Second Island Chain, 200k PL 15; smaller is under dvpt. Potent and a threat.  Is it invisible to the US? Can’t tell from open source material.  Designed to reflect stealth influences; and cyberespionage has given China many secrets. US developing Wake Island; practices airborne troops against a possible invasion of Guam..  Eventually the J20 will be aerial-refuelable.  H6N bomber.  We should work with Japan to reinforce Ryukus, and not abandon the First Island Chain.
Chinese mil has already killed on 15 June in Ladakh; seem to have a blood-lust. . . .  Xi Jinping holds hat there’s only one legitimate state on Earth, China; and only on legitimate ruler, Xi.  Only important air show will be in [Juhai], China: the H20. In 1941 when Wake was under attack by Japan, a message went to Washington: “Send more Japs.”  Moral: best not to attack Wake.

Hour Two
Wednesday 15 July 2020 / Hour 2, Block A:  John Catsimatidis, @JCats13 @CatsRoundtable; Red Apple Media and Cats Roundtable radio, in re: A Stop the Violence March over the Brooklyn Bridge.  Attacked Chief Moynihan. Out of control. A car pulled up, people jumped out with baseball bats to beat the marchers. Terrorists killing babies and attacking police.  Head of the NYS Troopers Union: a law passed today holding police responsible if anything bad happens to terrorists; have to pull the troopers out of the city.
Mayor let out of Rikers Island people who threatened citizenry with knives and guns!  Curtailing cash bail (No Bail law) also has caused an increase in crime; and ending the 600-man Plainclothes Anti-Crime Unit force has increased danger.  Let’s use federal law to lock up the people providing the baseball bats, bricks, and cash to terrorist mobs.
Wednesday 15 July 2020 / Hour 2, Block B:  Christian Whiton, Center for the National interest, in re: A flap ’twixt Peter Navarro and Anthony Fauci.  Navarro writes of Fauci’s many errors [of judgment and fact].  Why did he publish it in USA Today now?   He was wrong about hydroxychloroquine, assessment of the pandemic early on, the threat from China, ventilators –Multiple critical matters.  Probably because Fauci is out and talking again, this time calling for flattening the economy.  Fauci being obviously anti-Trump; a bureaucrat for forty years, now being held to account for the first time; he’s had a hugely negative effect on the US economy and public health.  He certainly doesn't like the spotlight here.  Just fire the guy.
Wednesday 15 July 2020 / Hour 2, Block C:  Robert Zimmerman, BehindtheBlack.com, in re: Slowdown and hat in hand at Roscosmos.
Wednesday 15 July 2020 / Hour 2, Block D: Robert Zimmerman, BehindtheBlack.com, in re: Delays and cost overruns at Europa Clipper.

Hour Three
Wednesday 15 July 2020 / Hour 3, Block A: Salena Zito @SalenaZito, CNN, New York Post, et al.; in re: White clapboard Baptist church in Pennsylvania; serving since 1848. Enon in Western PA. Counties: Washington, Greene.  Parishioners were from Wales, unwilling to join the Church of England.
Wednesday 15 July 2020 / Hour 3, Block B: Salena Zito @SalenaZito, CNN, New York Post, et al.; in re:  Bari Weiss of Pittsburgh: her sensational letter of resignation to the New York Times.  Twitter attracts rude, uncivil people; has become a dominant point of validation for the Times editors. Replacement of twitter: PARLER
Wednesday 15 July 2020 / Hour 3, Block C:  Brandon Weichert, The Weichert Report, in re:  Huawei.  Britain’s divesting it will cost money.  Space-stalkers satellites.
Wednesday 15 July 2020 / Hour 3, Block D:  Cleo Paskal @CleoPaskal, Chatham House and FDD; in re:  India has banned 59 Chinese apps.  Mike Pompeo looking at this for the US.  Good reasons: first, espionage.  Easy to gather enormous info, industrial espionage and blackmail.  Second: AI metadata.  China is clear about its weaponizing AI, so need massive amounts of data. Third: financial—TikTok put a billion dollars into launching in the India market.  Loss of much foreign exchange.  Fourth: Chinese apps suck Indian money out and block Indian app development, Fifth: It takes only  weeks to get rid of this software.   Note that China forbids US apps in China.  China also pushes propaganda out through its apps.  Dovetails with other troubling things: 3D location of individuals, among others.
