My own preference, which was shared by others, such as Peggy Noonan, was to delay a vote on the nominee until after the election. Having supported decisions like Roe v. Wade on abortion and Obergefell v. Hodges on gay marriage, progressives now believe that a conservative court should not be allowed to meddle in matters of personal autonomy and intimacy. Ironically, on this issue there is, at the moment, no definitive left/right split. The recent six-three majority decision in Bostock v. Wednesday 30 September 2020 / Hour 1, Block C: Alan Tonelson, independent economic policy analyst who blogs at RealityChek and tweets at @AlanTonelson; and Gordon Chang, Daily Beast, in re: Joe Biden last night saying Trump hasn't brought any manufacturing back to America. Not too much evidence that jobs left the US to go to China are returning due to Mr Trump’s trade policy; however, there’s a heavy burden of proof on Biden’s supporter hat the vice president if elected, could do much about it.  Trump’s mfring record is much better than that of th previous administration. One big reason has been major turnabouts on trade and also on the regulatory front.  Unions have become so thoroughly committed to the Democratic party for decades that they’ve marginalized themselves.  One can ask, Why did the Obama-Biden administration make hardly any progress in these?
Chinese media say “Obama would be smoother than Biden”; but I believe that Trump’s unpredictability may appeal to their desire for [chaos].  . . .  Just because a country may be a national-security ally doesn’t mean that they’ll make urgently-need products available, as we learned early in the flu emergency.  . . .  Chinese have taken US pols, like Biden, to the cleaners for decades.  Going back decades, he’s been in the friend-of-China camp.

Wednesday 30 September 2020 / Hour 1, Block D:  SalenaZito @DCExaminer @RealClearPolitics; salenazito.com;  in re: Western PA is turning red.  In June, a house that had an enormous Sanders display in his yard has downsized to a tiny lawn sign: not enthusiastic about Biden.   Seven hundred thousand new voters in this four-year cycle—not Democrats.  Defections of Democrats to Republicans.  These are people who voted for Clinton last time. Energy is the be-all and end-all because that’s where the big money is. The green new deal is a turn-off for both employees and manufacturers.

Wednesday 30 September 2020 / Hour 2, Block A: Andrew C McCarthy, @AndrewCMcCarthy, Ball of Collusion; and Thaddeus McCotter, @ThadMcCotter, American Greatness, in re: Russian intell picked up the idea that Clinton was prepared to smear Donald Trump.  Why was it important that Pres Obama was briefed on Hillary Clinton’s dirty tricks? According to Ratcliffe, this . . .  concocted the Russiagate scandal to take attention away from her own [conduct].  Whether she did or not, it’s not flattering to her or to our govt. She hired a British agent to [invent] sources; Steele did have Russian sources.  Lots of reasons to think that Russian agents had penetrated the Clinton campaign.
   In the letter, Ratcliffe says the information is not verified.  However, the Russians clearly had ways of knowing what the Clinton campaign was up to. Concern that the Russians are feeding disinformation to our govt.  Got intell [disinformation]  into our databases.  Mifsoud and Downer.  DCI goes to WH in July that Russians speak of Mrs Clinton’s effort to smear Trump.  The Russia angle has been introduced by Clinton; no effort to investigate the Clinton campaign.  We have the greatest case of projection of all time. At least gross malfeasance by Obama Adm, FBI, CIA, and ht whole crew.

Wednesday 30 September 2020 / Hour 3, Block A: John Catsimatidis,  @JCats2013, @CatsRoundtable, Red Apple Media & Cats Roundtable radio, in re: New York, in its huge deficit, needs some sort of oversight. Richard Ravitch use to oversee funds that came in to the city; the federal government might well contribute money if someone were keeping track of it. My driver’s car was parked on the street; doorman called urgently, someone’s breaking into your car.  Driver is a retired cop; when the thief pulled a knife, that was unwise.  Citizens don’t feel safe here; the governor needs to take action.   Mayor says he wants to help; but he does counterpropaganda.     
        Fifteen thousand Democratic Jewish liberals got furious at homeless in their neighborhood hotels; hired a superlawyer to move the homeless out of Upper West Side; so far, promises, but no movement.
        In New York City, closed stores take away rent money from landlords, who in turn can’t pay their real estate taxes.  City can go broke at this rate.  City Council is dumber than dirt.
       There once was a supervising board; now, we need the cooperation of the mayor, governor, and state assembly. 
Wednesday 30 September 2020 / Hour 3, Block B:  Brett Arends: @BrettArends; @BrettArends, @Marketwatch ROI column; in re:  “My philosophy of life is, tell me what the rules of the game are and I’ll figure out how to win.” Everyone pays as few taxes as possible— Ô shock and horror.  The problem isn’t using the tax code legally; the problem is the tax code. 
       Debate: Mr Trump’s aggression and Mr Biden’s [wanderings].  Four years ago the media comprehensively misjudged the voting public; I wouldn't be surprised if they’re doing that again.  Return of the, “We take Trump seriously but not literally”  [unlike the media, who take him literally but not seriously.   Trump hit on enough major issues; among them, critical race theory (white privilege, et al.). This is not synonymous with fighting racism.  Last night in debate, Trump made lots of references to the lockdowns. In 2016, media said Trump lost every single debate  (oops); and last night he was personally rude, childish, constantly interrupting.

Wednesday 30 September 2020 / Hour 4, Block B:  Aaron Klein: @AaronKleinShow; in re: Israel [satellite?] photography has found a vast arms cache in Beirut in the midst of a residential neighborhood.  Another unimaginable catastrophe waiting to happen.  Where is the UN Security Council on this?  What of the international community?  Iran now has the wherewithal to enrich uranium fifty ties faster than formerly.  Concerning the Abraham Accords:  Palestinians rejected it the moment it became public.  Rejection over the decades has not worked well for them; now, they may see that negativity leads them down the wrong path.  Since significant, and probably many, Arab nations have embraced the Abraham Accords and even this swiftly are starting to see economic burgeoning, Palestinians may want to reconsider and, at best, join.
